The Japanese boat “Mamma Aiuto”, with four sailors of the Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP), won the bronze medal on the 7th of December during the Melges 32 World Championship organised by the Miami Yacht Club.

The team lead by Naofumi Kamei, owner and driver, counts on Manu Weiler as tactitian. the rest of the crew of "Mamma Aiuto” also counts on other members of the RCNP, such as Juan Fullana, Felipe Gallastegui and Mathew Barber. Pedro Mas, of the Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa, Javi Plaza and Federico Armeñanzas complete the crew.

The world tittle has been for “Argo”, of Jason Carroll, followed by the Italian “Torpyone”, owned and skippered by Edoardo Lupi. Only seven points seperated both boats after 10 races sailed. “Mama Aiuto” saved their third position over the American boat, “Volpe”.

The Melges 32 is a carbon modern boat of 9,75 boat length who has to be driven by the owner. The professional sailors on board the boat can do any job except drive the boat.
Manu Weiller, who is a world champion, in other classes such as Platú 25, has been sailing with Naofumi's boat for some time now.
