Airlan Aermec and Servicharter give no chance to their rivals during the Sofia Trophy in the cruising class.

Airlan Aermec (ORC 1), of Joan Cabrer, and Servicharter (ORC2), of Eduardo Horrach, have proved why they are the favourite boats to win the 45 Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofía in cruising and one design classes after a strong north west windy day. The rest of the classes had the following winners, Tearal (ORC3), owned by Antonio Pizá; the Ibe-Tres Mares (ORC4), owned by María Campins; Bufete Frau (J80), owned by José Carlos Frau; Fuego Fatuo (in Flying Fifteen), owned by John Walker; and Dragonera (Dragón), of Robert Holthuizen.

The last day of the regatta was sailed with a strong mistral wind, always blowing around 25 knots of intensity, although reaching up to 30 knots at some points in the Bay of Palma. The ORC cruising division sailed a coastal race of 19 miles distance, whilst the one designs, Flying Fifteen, Dragon and J80) sailed a single w/l race.

The leaders after the races on saturday, sailed over their rivals except in the ORC 3 and 4 divisions, where Tearal and Ibes-Tres Mares won the last race of the trophy and took over Maribel and over La Sirena, of Alejandro Riera. Airlan Aermec, of Juan Cabrer, took all the first places after winning the third race as well.
Servicharter, of Eduardo Horrach, ended in a meritorious second place, followed by Yabadaba Too, of Martín Aizcorbe, and by Pinyol Vermell, of Félix Comas, who won the last race.

Bufete Frau, of José Carlos Frau, won in the J80 class with two points difference over Mnemonic, of Sebastián Allebrodt, followed by the HM Hotels, of Javier Chacártegui, who finished third.

Fuego Fatuo, in Flying Fifteen, and Dragonera, in Dragón class, both of them also led the event since the first day.
The 45 Trofeo Princesa Sofía of cruisers and one designs counted over 50 entries with 250 sailors. The prize giving ceremony sponsored by Sushigo gave sushi tastings to more tha 250 sailors in the club's Sala Magna after the last competition day.
