Airlan Aermec, Bruix and Tearal win the Trofeo Carnaval

Airlan Aermec, of Juan Cabrer (ORC 0-1); Bruix, of Miguel Angel Mercadal (ORC-2), and Tearal, of Antoni Pizá (ORC-3), win the Trofeo Carnaval organised by the Real Club Náutico de Palma over 20 participating boats of the local cruising fleet.

The race had a distance of 17 miles for the groups, 0-1 and 2, and 15 miles for the group 3. Airlan Aermec led all the way in the 0RC 0-1, category in which, Histolab, of Juan José Torres, finished second, followed by Sevens Team, of José Luis Cernuda, who had a special guest on board today, the round the world sailor, Bubi Sansó.

Mestral Fast, of Jaume Morell, and Yabadaba Too, of Martín Aizcorbe, finished second and third in ORC-2, after Bruix, whilst Tearal in the ORC - class, was followed by IBE Tres Mares, of María Campins, and Blau Marina, of Pedro Rigo.

The race was sailed with a South west wind reaching the 30 knots of intensity. The prize giving ceremony took place after the race at the Sala Magna of the RCNP.
