The Balearic dinghy top Sailors meet at the RCNP for a technical training session

The Real Club Náutico de Palma held this past weekend the annual Technification Global Plan (PGT) directed by the Balearic Sailing Association (FBV), and assisted by sailors from the Opti, Laser, 420 and Skud 18 (new para-Olympic class).

The principal objective of this activity is to coordinate and define the 2014 season together with the sailing clubs, the sailors, the coaches and the parents, explains Francisco Gil, director of the FBV, who was also proud to count on the national laser team coach, Roi Alonso, for this occasion.

The training sessions include a sports psychology workshop, after a collaboration agreement signed between the FBV and the Balearic University. The president of the FBV, Mr. Gonzalez is proud to announce that this is a pioneer action for the sailing world in Spain, and is convinced that the job carried out with Miquel Salom, also a laser class coach, will soon provide some positive aspects.

During these sessions other programmed activities are: physical effort and anthropometric tests, racing rules, etc. The technical staff to give the courses for this year have been: Francisco Gil (Optimist); Miguel Salom and Roi Alonso (Laser); Pedro Marí (420), Juanjo Beltrán (Skud 18) and Ismael Uali (physical preparation).
