Joan Cardona is now facing countdown
The sailor representing the RCNP, Joan Cardona has been training hard for the Laser Radial Class World Championship to be held in Oman. Here is a video sent by his coach, Hugo Ramon, where you can see him training and "christening" his boat.
Joan is one of the young balearic promises, having left the Opti class very early due to his physical magnitude. Hugo Ramon (mini transat and round the world sailor ) is his coach now in the laser class.
In the training sessions organised by the local organisation, Joan proved to be very speedy, giving us very good sensations although we really hoped this speed would keep up for the championship. The wind conditions are clearly indicating us that the strongest gusts have to be tacked and that there is not a favorite side of the racing course. We are very pleased with the sensations experienced today, but Joan knows he has to keep his feet on the ground.
