Nacho Postigo, "Concentration, anticipation and communication are the keys to complete a good crew"
Nacho Postigo from Santander but living in Palma, states that in competition, the concentration, anticipation and communication are keys for a successful crew in the conference he gave this afternoon at the RCNP.
The technical conference entitled “Crew organisation” is the first one of a series the RCNP will offer to all the yacht owners and sailors whom wish to improve technically.
Nacho Postigo, a former responsible of the Med Cup, has shared his competition experience coming from some of the most competitive crew such as Bribón or Alexia, and from his two America’s Cup participations.
Nacho explained the different roles to be assumed by the crew on board, and reactions that can be expected in different situations. His conference was completed with visual support defining the positions of the crew during starting procedure, upwind and downwind.
His examples were based on a common local boat of 30 feet and 5 sailors crew.
