Three sailors from the RCNP take podium during the Trofeo Farragut
This past weekend, the Club Nautic of Ciutadella organised the 57th edition of the Trofeo Almirante Farragut where almost a hundred sailors took part in Snipe, Laser and Optimist classes.
Damián Borrás and Julia Rita(Club Maritimo de Mahon) won in the Snipe class, followed by Jordi Triay (CM Mahón) and Luis Más (RCN Palma), and by Teo Matheu and Pedro Cabrer (RCN Palma) who finished third.
Juan Manuel Calafell (Club de Vela Port d’Andratx) wins in Optimist A and Manel Barber (CM Mahón)in the B category. Luca Franceschi (CN Villacarlos) won in Category C and Jack Vine (CN Ciutadella) in D.
Nicolás Verner (CM Mahón) won the Regatta in Laser 4.7 men category and Sara Franceschi (CM Villacarlos) in girls.
The two first day's were sailed with light conditions, but the last day provided a very exciting sailing day with wind gusts reaching 18 knots of intensity.
The Club Náutico de Ciutadella proved to be proud of this edition, one of the oldest competitions in the Balearic Islands.
