The J Class have offered a real sailing show in the Bay of Palma.

Hanuman (2009), a Replica of the Endeavour, 1937, wins the first race of the Super Yacht Cup, hosted by the Real Club Náutico de Palma

Today the SYC 2013 gave it's first warning signal to five J Class for the first time in the Bay of Palma. The five beauties all between 38 and 42 meters confronted each other for the first time in Europe with wonderful sailing conditions with a wind direction from southwest of 16 knots of intensity. Hanuman wins the first windward/leeward race in two hours and one minute, with only one minute of advantage over Ranger (2004) and three points average distance over Lionheart (2010). Followed by the recent replica of Rainbow (2012) and by Velsheda from 1937. The fleet proved to be very happy with the Race Committee's action, with a final change of course due to a windshift. Tomorrow the J Class will sail another w/l course and the SY will sail their first coastal race of the event.
